Dr. A. Gabriel Esteban began a one-year term today as Interim President of Seton Hall. The Board of Regents chose him after the only remaining candidate withdrew and will search for a permanent president over the next 12 months. As SHU Provost since August 2007, Dr. Esteban oversaw creation of a new strategic plan and administered all eight colleges/schools and the Division of Academic Affairs and Enrollment Management.

Previously, Dr. Esteban served as Provost, Dean of the College of Business, and Marketing Professor at the University of Central Arkansas. He holds a Ph.D. in Management, University of California-Irvine; M.S. in Japanese Business Studies, Chaminade University; and M.B.A. and B.S. in Math, University of the Philippines.

Dr. Esteban possesses the academic credentials, management experience, leadership skills and knowledge of Seton Hall to guide the university over the next 12 months. We wish him the best of luck, success and happiness in his new role.
